Job title: Kids Pastor
Hours: 10hrs per week (8.00am -12.00pm Sunday, Mid-week: 6 hours flexi-time)
The purpose of this role is to plan and lead Re:Hope's Kids Ministry programme for Sunday gatherings. As a member of the Under 18s leadership team there is also an expectation to pastor members of the Wee:Hope team, and support parents with their children’s spiritual development as needed.
It is expected that the Kids Pastor will be part of the leadership team for an annual holiday club during the Easter or Summer school break and attend planning meetings where possible.
Leading the Kids Ministry team of volunteers, recruiting, supporting and administering the team.
Sundays: planning and leading Wee:Hope each week, teaching and providing interactive, age-appropriate learning and response activities. Overseeing Crèchendo and Creche ministries.
Parents and Families: being available to support parents and families and communicate with Under 18’s team leader regarding more urgent pastoral needs.
Holiday Club: help recruit qualified volunteers and be part of the team for an annual holiday club.
Natural leadership abilities, with excellent communication skills, strong up front and one on one.
Must display charisma in leadership style to bring energy and fun to kids church.
Organised and attention to detail.
Must have relevant experience working on a team. We’d like to hear from a reference who can testify to seeing the applicant’s ability to both work well as part of a team, and respond well to authority.
Must have innovative ideas to reach the next generation in the community.
Basic media skills relevant to social media and audio/visual
Must be willing to be a member of Re:Hope church (any Glasgow location) in addition to job requirements.
